KITCHEN REMODELING FAQ
Common Questions About Kitchen Remodeling
01 How do I begin a kitchen remodeling project in Salt Lake City?
The best place to begin is with a free consultation. Our team will learn about your vision, review your current kitchen, discuss your budget, and talk through your goals for the space. From there, we can plan the right kitchen remodeling services, materials, layout, style, and schedule for your kitchen project.
02 How long does a kitchen remodeling project usually take?
Every kitchen renovation is different, so the timeline depends on the size and scope of the job. Smaller upgrades may take a few weeks, while a complete renovation involving demolition, construction, plumbing, cabinets, flooring, and other installations can take longer. During the planning process, our team will explain the expected schedule and help you stay ahead of each step.
03 Can you remodel my kitchen without completely changing the layout?
Yes. Not every kitchen remodeling project requires major structural changes. If your current layout functions well, we can focus on upgrades such as cabinet refacing, new countertops, hardware, lighting, flooring, sinks, or cabinetry. Keeping parts of the existing kitchen can make sense when it helps control your budget while still creating a noticeable difference.
04 Do you offer custom cabinetry and cabinet refacing?
Yes. Our remodeling services can include both custom cabinetry and cabinet refacing, depending on your kitchen and goals. Custom cabinetry can help homeowners create better storage and make the most of their space, while cabinet refacing can refresh existing cabinets without replacing everything. We will help you choose the option that fits your style, functionality, and budget.
05 Can you help with countertops, flooring, lighting, and other kitchen upgrades?
Yes. Our kitchen remodeling services can include a wide range of upgrades, from cabinets and countertops to flooring, lighting, sinks, hardware, and other materials. We can also coordinate work involving walls, plumbing, and other construction needs when they are part of the project. The goal is to create a kitchen that looks great, functions well, and works for everyday life.
06 Will I need permits for my kitchen renovation?
Some kitchen renovation projects may require permits, especially when the work involves structural changes, plumbing, electrical systems, or other construction. Permit requirements can vary by project and location in Utah. During the planning process, our team can help identify what may be required so you know what to expect before construction begins.
07 How do you help keep a kitchen remodeling project on budget?
Good planning makes a big difference. Before the job begins, we discuss your budget, priorities, materials, layout, and expected upgrades. We also make sure you understand the process and what is included in the project. Clear communication throughout the remodeling helps reduce surprises and keeps the team moving forward without losing momentum.
08 Can you remodel my kitchen while I am still living in the house?
In many cases, yes, but it depends on the size of the kitchen project and the construction involved. During demolition and installation, your kitchen may have limited or no use for certain periods. We will communicate the schedule ahead of time so you can plan around the work area and the rest of your house. Our team works to keep the job organized, communicate directly, and complete the renovation while keeping your expectations in mind.
